NetPet(c) Magazine is an electronic magazine present on the World Wide Web of the Internet which has been founded to be a source of useful and accurate information for all pet owners. It is our sincere belief that education of the public about the nature and needs of pets is the only way to counter the epidemic of 'throw away' pet ownership that is resulting in the flooding of our pounds with discarded pets. On the other hand, we feel that legitimate animal fanciers need an outlet for the presentation of information about their animals. Because to the nature of the World Wide Web and the Internet the magazine will have to be supported by advertising, not by subscription fees.

The NetPet(c) site plans to house a large encyclopedia of pet related information, including descriptions of species and breeds of pets, breed club addresses and an innovative interactive questionnaire to aid people in learning about the pluses and minuses of pet ownership in general, as well as characteristics and attributes of individual species and breeds of pets in particular.

Our advertising sections will be extensively cross indexed to the informative articles we will be accumulating, thus a person reading about a product will be able to locate which of the NetPet(c) vendors can supply the product with a push of a button, the click of a mouse.

Owners of individual pets and responsible breeders will be able to showcase their animals in the NetPet(c) animal showcase. Breed clubs will be able to have a Web Home Page, and Rescue organizations will be invited to provide information and will be given a home page if desired.

The advertising section is the perfect solution for those of you with accounts on government or educational systems where you are blocked from posting items for sale.

  1. The "An-e-mall" - the pet's supplies and merchandise section:

    1. Classified ads (see text only ads above).

    2. Home Page Special

      Three pages of hypertext linked to up to 10 pages of plain text (a maximum of 250 k of disk space), includes 1 hour of hypertext setup time and scanning of up to 4 images by us. $100 per year plus $20 for each additional hour or part thereof of hypertext page set up. Will include active e-mail link to your mailing address on your own server, if you have one. Additional images may be posted at $10 per year plus scanning fees (if applicable). Large numbers of images will be priced based on disk space used and image preparation time. Those of you with hypertext capabilities are welcome to submit the entire document as 'computer ready copy' and not pay and additional hypertext set up fees.

    3. Corporate catalogues

      . We will be set up to post and cross-index catalogues for mail order supply houses. Secure credit card sales capabilities will be available. These corporate catalogues will be reasonably priced on an individual basis depending on the size of the catalogue and the number of hours of administration time required.

    4. The animal showcase.

      1. Virtual Kennel, Cattery and Farm.

        As with the local newspaper and your breed magazine this is a service for individual animal breeders in which your individual animals can be showcased, pictured and described.

        With dogs and cats, litters may be described in the 'litter box section' provided that complete 5 generation pedigrees are also included. The purpose of this section is to provide the sort of online advertising seen in breed magazines - where the animal's accomplishments and wins are spotlighted. Advertisers will be limited to no more than 3 breeds of dogs and cats at a time.

        1. Text only ads

          - including brief breeder biography, description of pets, Kennel/Cattery/Farm (as in horses, llamas, goats - not dog farm!), name, address, phone number, e-mail link (if any) -- $25 per year. All classifieds will be linked to the breed information home page and will be extensively cross linked by location and services as well as linked through breed name. Ad one picture link to your text only ad for $10/year.

        2. Home Page Feature Special

          - 3 pages of hypertext linked to up to 10 pages of plain text (maximum of 250 k of disk space), includes 1 hour of hypertext setup time and scanning of up to 4 images by us $100 per year (additional images $10/year). Additional setup time $10 for each half hour or part thereof of hypertext page set up. Will include active e-mail link to your mailing address on your own server, if you have one.         3. For cats/dogs -- Litter Box.

          5 Generation pedigree, date of birth, 10 lines of text linked to your Classified message or Home Page: maintained for 4 months; $10. $5 per month thereafter.

        4. Really fancy on-line pedigrees with hypertext links to photos and statements about the ancestors can be produced and maintained. These will be priced based on disk space and scanning/development time. Prices will be in line with our other reasonable prices.

      2. Breed Club Home Page

        3. In exchange for advertising space for NetPet(c) magazine in the breed club's magazine we will post the official breed standard and any additional breed information material commonly distributed by the breed club, a breed club will be given an informational home page with contact addresses for officers, phone numbers and e-mail links.

      3. Rescue Organizations Home Pages

        4. In exchange for permission to post animal care and maintainance information provided by the rescue organization, rescue organizations will be given an informational home page with contact addresses, phone numbers and e-mail links and will also be linked into to the pet information search engine so that they will be presented along with breeders as sources for animals of that type/breed.

      4. There will be an advertising contract.

      Commercial, as in wholesale, breeders of dogs and cats will not be able to purchase space in this site. If substantiated complaints reach us concerning the condition of animals advertised on the site we reserve the right to cancel any individual advertisement, a pro-rated balance of the fee, less operating expenses, to be returned to the advertiser. ordering your NetPet showcase pages.
